Namaste,

It is our immense pleasure to welcome you to Shishukunj Model United Nations 2026 and, in particular, to the General Assembly. We, Anaya Dhariwal and Namya Doongarwal, are honoured to serve as the Under-Secretary-Generals for the General Assembly. We look forward to presenting a conference that is both engaging and intellectually stimulating.

The General Assembly is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations. It addresses issues ranging from disarmament and decolonization to human rights, sustainable development, and international security. Through its six Main Committees, all 193 Member States are given equal representation, making it the most representative organ of the United Nations and a true reflection of multilateral diplomacy.

At Shishukunj MUN 2026, the General Assembly features seven dynamic committees spanning history, security, sustainability, human rights, culture, and governance. Delegates will engage with agendas ranging from the reconstruction of post-war Germany and national security legislation in the United States Senate to maritime security, private military companies, children's digital privacy, cultural heritage protection, and environmental accountability. Together, these committees are designed to encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and impactful diplomacy.
