Dear Delegates!
It is our utmost pleasure to welcome you to the Shishukunj Model United Nations 2026.
We,Nibbana Wadhwani and Pinakini Karnik, are delighted to serve as your Chairpersons.
We hope this experience helps you explore a variety of perspectives and understand global
issues.
I, Nibbana Wadhwani, am an 11th grader pursuing commerce with applied mathematics and
aspire to join business fields in future. Alongside my academics, I have the privilege of serving
as a Nominated Council Member and a Club Leader at the school. These roles have nourished
me as a leader and my ability to work with my peers. Dancing, public speaking, designing, and
mentoring young children have become some of my greatest passions over the years. I have been
learning Kathak since I was 6 years old and it has taught me discipline and confidence in
expressing myself. I also enjoy graphic designing, especially in the field of digital marketing.
One of the most fulfilling parts of my life is teaching preschoolers. Watching them learn
something new and smile because they finally understand something is a feeling I truly cherish.
To me, MUN is much more than just giving speeches or putting allegations on others, as the
name suggests, it is the model of the real deal so just like in real life you have to come to
concessions and create solutions to harness your inner diplomat.
I am Pinakini Karnik, and I will be serving as the Co-Chairperson of UNESCO in this year’s
conference. I am beyond happy to be doing so and I can’t wait for you guys to come and breathe
life into the committee room. I am an 11th grader studying humanities with psychology, and my
interests range from art and poetry to debates and MUN. As global geopolitics become
increasingly volatile, the importance of awareness, critical thinking and thoughtful debate
increases. The MUN will serve as a forum for all of these things and a lot more. Regardless of
whether you have experience with MUNs or not, each of you has a chance to excel in the
committee and win an award, given that you work sincerely towards it. I hope to see you present
your original ideas and solutions confidently in the committee, and one day create and lead your
very own committees in the days to come.
As you enter this simulation, remember you are not just students, you are diplomats. The
decisions you take, the blocs you form, and the resolution you pass will echo beyond this
conference into the minds of every participant as a model of what global governance should look
like. We hope you all have a great time in the committee, and as chairpersons, we look forward
to working our best to bring out the best experience for all.
